Kansai University's American Football Club has a yearbook made for its members every year after the season. Every section has its own special flavor and style, and as such we are given complete creative freedom to make it look as cool as possible.
Each section I was responsible for had its own distinct visual style. The students often said they wanted us to make it as "cool" as possible, but of course we needed to make it as clear and enjoyable to read as possible, as well. This meant building off of grids and sensible layouts, and bringing the funk in every single way possible. Below are a few samples of pages I did, including the cover.
